Every Souq piece begins as a sketch on paper and ends in the hands of a silversmith who has spent a lifetime learning to see what others miss. This is how we work. Slowly. Deliberately. Without compromise.
The Material
Sterling silver.
Nothing else.
We use only 925 sterling silver - 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with copper for strength. It is the oldest standard in silversmithing and still the finest. Our silver is sourced from certified suppliers and arrives at our workshop as raw granules, ready to be melted, cast, and shaped into something that will last a lifetime.
The Process
Four stages.
One standard.
From the first sketch to the final polish, each piece passes through the hands of our silversmiths multiple times. There are no shortcuts. Every stage matters.
Design
Every piece begins as a pencil sketch. Form, proportion, and weight are considered before a single gram of silver is touched.
Cast
Raw silver granules are melted and cast into the initial form. The workshop fills with the sound of metal meeting heat.
Finish
Each piece is filed, sanded, and polished by hand. Edges are refined to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre.
Inspect
Before leaving our workshop, every piece is inspected under magnification. If it is not right, it goes back. We do not ship imperfect work.
The Design
It starts

Before anything is cast or shaped, every Souq piece is drawn by hand. We sketch form, proportion, and weight. We consider how a ring will sit against skin, how a spoon will balance in a small hand. The drawing is not a formality. It is where the thinking happens.
The Workshop

Our workshop is a quiet place. The sounds are of files on metal, small hammers, and running water. We have been here since 2009. The bench has not changed. The tools are worn and trusted. The standard has not changed either. We make things slowly, and we make them well.
We do not make objects. We make things that belong to people.
