Sustainability

Silver is one of the most sustainable materials we know. Here is how we approach our responsibility.

The material

Sterling silver is infinitely recyclable. Every offcut, every failed cast, every piece that doesn't meet our standard is melted down and reused. Nothing is wasted. We have operated this way since 2009 and it remains central to how we work.

The craft

Because our pieces are made by hand, they are made to last. A Souq piece is not disposable. It is designed to be used daily, to age beautifully, and to be passed to the next generation. Longevity is our most sustainable practice.

The workshop

Our atelier in Thailand operates with a small, skilled team. We do not mass produce. We source our silver responsibly and maintain direct relationships with our suppliers. Scale is a choice — we have chosen depth over volume.

Packaging

All Souq packaging is made from recycled or FSC-certified materials. We use no single-use plastics. Our boxes are designed to be kept and reused — as storage, as gift wrap, as part of the object's life.
