On Silver

Silver is not a passive material. It reacts to its environment, to the chemistry of skin, to the air around it. Understanding this is the first step to working with it honestly — and to appreciating what it becomes over time.

The Atelier

Our workshop in Thailand is a quiet place. The sounds are of files on metal, of small hammers, of running water. We have been here since 2009. The bench has not changed. The standard has not changed.

Objects & Memory

The spoon a child uses daily becomes something else over years. It carries memory in its weight, in its small scratches. We make objects that are meant to accumulate this kind of meaning — slowly, without fuss.
